I’ve had Asics for quite a while now, and they always support my feet well, provide enough cushioning and aren’t too heavy. My previous shoe was New Balance, and they were lightweight and quite stylish. Mizuno is a good brand if you want to get into competitive running, (preferably Mizuno Elixir 4) but I would opt for Asics/New Balance.

You really need two different shoes. Cross trainers are fine for just walking. Tennis shoes are made to move sideways and back and forth. Running shoes are made to go back and forth not sideways. I do both and believe me cross trainers won’t work if you do either very much.

i used to work at a furniture store and this was a problem with some of our customers. I ended coming up with a solution that required little or no money….. there is no way to make it softer unless you do what you said, JUMP. but you can buy (if don’t already have one) a deep fitted sheet. Place one of your extra conforters, or any thick blanket underneath and then add the fitted sheet. Actually the first thing I thought of was how are you going to ventilate the space. If heat builds up in the cabinet, it might prematurely cause the unit to fail. The grid in the back is trying to dissipate heat to recharge the freon; if it can’t it will cycle the hot freon back to the unit, and that will reduce its ability to cool. Actually, my pediatrician told me the firmer the better. If the mattress is too soft, they could suffocate and they aren’t like us, we are accustomed to soft things because it is what we are used to. I have been sleeping on a firm mattress my whole life and soft ones are very uncomfortable for me. You are probably too heavy for the treadmill in question. Sometimes older treadmills also have crappy motors that are no good any longer. You can try to losen the belt up, put on some lubricant, and tighten the belt really good. Sometimes just tightening the walking belt up can fix the problem, but it’s probably just not rated for your size. (That seems to be the same problem with at least 3 out of 5 treadmills I have got).

I had both a bassinet and a crib. The crib was in his bedroom and the bassinet stayed beside my bed. He didn’t like the bassinet and after about a week, I had to start putting him in his crib. He never slept good in the bassinet. I think it was because it’s covered and the crib is pretty open where he could see more. The bassinet was more for my security when we first came home from the hospital.

Its safe as long as your baby still fits in it. My kids were in a bassinet for about 4months. You can tell when you need to switch to a crib because they’ll just start looking uncomfortable. Also I think the rule of thunb is let them sleep wherever they WILL sleep. If they are comfortable in the swing or in the bouncer, by all means leave’em there and go to sleep as fast as you can! My first baby slept in her carseat for the first month and a half! I was concerned at first, but the doc said it was fine.
